Syra Coffee was launched in Barcelona in 2015 as a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop with the simple purpose to “Make good coffee everyone’s daily habit”. To achieve that, we knew we had to keep it simple, thus, since day one, our focus was on one thing only: Good coffee to go. We always found drinking coffee to be an experience rather than just a commodity. That first sip of coffee to kick start our day is more influential than we think. Starting our day with a well crafted cup can momentarily put our minds at ease and give us a sense of bliss, a feeling we were determined to spread to as many people as possible. And to make it happen, we’ve embarked on a journey of learning with passion to develop the systems of cupping, testing, and training with extreme care so we can present the best coffee, every time both in our coffeeshops and at home.

Our one sole mission is to democratize good coffee, starting from the farm and all the way to our customers. We look at coffee as an essential daily ritual rather than a convenient caffeine buzz, and it’s very important for the ritual to be practiced well. We look for quality over quantity and source only seasonal coffee that helps us live up to our customers expectations. Despite the hype and what the market is trying to project, specialty coffee is not a private club or for those with a sophisticated taste. Specialty coffee is an alternative to commercial mass produced coffee, and we are dedicated to making it accessible to everyone!
Socially and environmentally sustainable coffee.
Our coffee is single-origin, 100% arabica, fully traceable, socially ethical, and environmentally sustainable. We source our coffee directly from farms as small as 1 hectare, owned by individuals, families, and cooperatives - people we can refer to by their names. This direct and fair trade empowers individual owners to grow and invest in their own land, families, and communities. Unlike mass-produced commercial coffee, single-origin coffee is grown and harvested in harmony with the environment and its seasons, making each batch unique and exclusive. In short, we source coffee that brings positive impact into communities and preserves the integrity of the environment that nurtures it.

We are deeply in love with our hometown Barcelona from where we are, where resides the mix of roots, cultures, and traditions that defines us today. We bring with us our passion for art and architecture to every new place we locate through design and artist collaborations. Our mission is to always fit within the neighborhoods we operate in and contribute positively to its communities.
