The sun is here to stay. In this blog post you will find 4 chai recipes so you can experience some new creative and refreshing drinks to share with your friends and family.
Chai tea is a spicy tea from India and Vietnam. This type of tea is one of the Ayurvedic teas and is considered a healing tea.
Ayurveda means "science of life" in Sanskrit and is the Indian name for the ancient health system. The reason why chai tea is among these Ayurvedic tea varieties is because of its healing properties due to the types of spices it contains. Cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, honey... each of them has numerous benefits for human health. According to legend, chai teas were prepared at the request of the king as a healing drink.
If you feel like trying new flavours and practical recipes with chai, here are 4 drinks that you can prepare in less than 5 minutes.
1. Chai Latte
Chai tea contains many types of spices, such as star anise, ground ginger, cloves, honey, cardamom, black tea, pepper, cinnamon... It can be difficult to find all the high quality ingredients and to find the right proportions. The chai tea of the brand Prana Chai that we have in our online shop already has a spice mix that will make it easier for you to prepare the recipes. It is also the same chai that we use in our coffee shops.
Prana Chai contains only 100% natural ingredients: pure honey, premium black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger root, peppercorns, star anise and salt. All ingredients are prepared and packaged by hand which makes it a handmade product.
To prepare a chai latte we add 40ml of chai concentrate and add chai concentrate and add 200ml of your favourite milk or vegetable drink or even water. Garnishs with cinnamon.
How to make chai concentrate at home?
We heat the amount of liquid we want to prepare in a pot, one cup, two cups... This liquid can be cow's milk, vegetable options or even water. To make a chai concentrate the ratio we use is 1:1.
Heat over medium heat, mix the ingredients without bringing the liquid to the boil, leave to steep until the tea leaves have opened and strain.
2. Iced Chai Latte
Put two ice cubes in a large glass, add your milk or your favourite ice cubes, add your favourite milk or vegetable drink, 40ml of chai concentrate and finish with a layer of cream (or vegetable drink).and finish with a layer of cream (or vegetable drink). You can sprinkle cinnamon over the milk to decorate and to enhance the flavour of the chai.
To prepare the milk cream you can use the milk frother from Bialetti, which you can find in our online shop. It's a simple and practical way to prepare a delicious, creamy froth in the comfort of your own home.
3. Dirty Chai
The preparation is the same as a chai latte: 40ml of chai concentrate mixed with 200ml of your favourite drink but with your favourite drink but at thel at the end we add an extra shot of espresso. Thanks to the different densities of these liquids, you will get different shades of colours and textures that are very nice to serve to your friends or family.
4. Dirty Cold Brew
The Dirty Cold Brew is our new seasonal drink that is now available in all Syra Coffee coffee shops. It is delicious, refreshing, delicate and powerful at the same time. We would love for you to try it in one of our coffee shops and if you like it, here is the recipe so you can make it at home.

How to make Cold Brew at home?
Ideally, this should be done in the Cold Brewers which you can find on our website. Pour coffee and water in a ratio of 1:10 (i.e. 50 grams of coffee for 500 grams of water) and let it steep overnight, minimum 16 hours. Filter and enjoy!
We leave you here a video where our manager of El Born explains how to prepare a good cold brew using the Cold Brewer.
Coffee and chai tea recipes can be surprisingly versatile despite having only a few ingredients. We place immense importance on ensuring that our recipes do not overwhelm the nuances of the ingredients, be it speciality coffee or chai tea.
