Jesús Estévez López is the owner of 1.5 hectares of coffee near to the town of Corquin in Copan. Jesus grows mostly Caturra with a small area of villa sarchi and has more recently started planting Parainema. He also has bee hives for honey, fruit trees and vegetables for his own consumption. Due to the altitude and variety that Jesus grows, he has been processing all of his coffee as washed lots, since the cup is very complex and usually high quality. This year the harvest for all producers was extremely difficult with increased rains during the harvest and a lack of pickers meaning a large amount of coffee was lost from either falling to the ground or swelling and splitting on the tree.
