Timbio (Colombia)

This Colombian coffee has a very classic flavour profile. With the typical sweet and fruity notes of a high-altitude Colombian coffee.  Expect a rich and full-bodied cup, with chocolate and roasted hazelnuts notes, and a low-medium acidity that reminds us of wild blackberries and grapes. A very complete coffee as an espresso, but also rich and sweet combined with milk.

ASCAFE’s (Asociación Colombiana de Pequeños Caficultores) Women’s Coffee Project focuses on female economic empowerment through coffee production to increase the livelihoods and opportunities of everyone in the family and community at large. ASCAFE’s model increases women’s decision-making power through economic empowerment  and strengthened autonomy. By increasing women’s role in decision-making in the family, ASCAFE seeks to reduce gender-based violence, prevent illegal crop production, preserve soil health and promote environmental conservation, protect children from militias that operate in the area, and facilitate more efficient allocation of family resources.
